Who we are

This website is operated by Goolean Technologies ("Goolean", "we"). We decide how the personal information described here is used. For anything in this notice, email hello@goolean.us.

What this notice covers

This notice covers the goolean.us website and its contact form. It does not cover data processed inside our products or services (SuitPilot, CAM, Mike, or client engagements); that data is governed by the agreement with the customer concerned.

What we collect

  • When you use the contact form: your name, work email, the topic you pick and your message. We also record your IP address, your browser's user-agent string and the time, to stop spam and abuse.
  • When you visit any page: our web server logs your IP address, the page requested, the time, the referring page and your browser's user-agent string. These logs are kept for 14 days for security and troubleshooting.

We don't use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking pixels, and the site loads no third-party scripts or fonts. The contact form's spam check is a small calculation your browser runs; it stores nothing on your device.

How we use it

  • To read and reply to your enquiry, and to follow up about the services or products you asked about.
  • To protect the site and the form against spam, abuse and attacks.

We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't use it for advertising or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Legal basis

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on your request (taking steps you asked for before any contract) and on our legitimate interest in running a secure website. Where consent is required, sending the form is your consent to our using those details to reply; you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.

Who we share it with

  • Amazon Web Services, which hosts this website in the United States (Virginia).
  • Google Workspace, which delivers contact-form messages to our inbox.
  • Microsoft 365, which hosts that inbox.
  • Goolean staff in the United States and India who need to see an enquiry to answer it.

These providers process the data on our behalf under their own security and data-protection terms. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, in which case this notice would continue to apply.

International transfers

Your information is stored in the United States and may be accessed by our team in India. Where data protection law requires it, we rely on our providers' contractual safeguards for these transfers.

How long we keep it

  • Contact-form enquiries: deleted from our website server automatically 24 months after we receive them, and removed from our inbox on the same schedule, unless the enquiry leads to a customer relationship, in which case the relevant agreement applies.
  • Web server logs: 14 days.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS. Enquiries are stored on a hardened server, readable only by our administrators, and the contact form is protected against automated abuse. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, withdraw consent, and receive a copy in a portable format. Residents of some US states have similar rights, including to know what we collect and to opt out of sale or sharing, which we don't do.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@goolean.us. We will reply within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This website is meant for businesses and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
